The Olduvai Gorge in Tanzania is a crucial paleoanthropological site that has helped advance understanding of early human evolution. It was established and developed by the British/Kenyan paleoanthropologist-archaeologist team Mary and Louis Leakey. The site reveals evidence of early human species such as Homo habilis, Paranthropus boisei, Homo erectus, and Homo sapiens, and demonstrates the increasing complexity of early humans through the production and use of stone tools. After visiting the site, the tour will continue to Serengeti National Park with game viewing en route, followed by an evening game drive with a sunset view, before arriving at the Acacia Mobile Camp Ndutu, your accommodations for your stay.
